Cinder 3.75/5 ★★★☆☆
Marissa Meyer
A future/dystopian retelling of the Cinderella story. Cinder is a gifted mechanic and cyborg. She has a mysterious past and is hated by her stepmother. But when Prince Kai comes to her to fix his android, Cinder gets caught up in intergalactic struggle between her country and the Lunars from the Moon.

I really cannot decide between 3 stars or 4 stars. I really was entertained by the book, I read it in two days, and the world was cool. I liked Cinder and Kai. And I really liked the connections between the high-tech story of Cinder and the classic Cinderella story. But honestly. As soon as the book was done I started to think about it, and the book just was missing something. Most of the 400 pages felt like the introduction to the actually story. The last fourish chapters really felt like the plot was picking up. I've already started the second book, so I'm most likely going to read the whole series. I can for sure see myself becoming invested with the characters and world. But my review for Cinder is somewhere between 3 and 4 stars.
